In the remaining field events, UB placed three pole vaulters in the top ten in Kelly Trupo (4th) and Taylor Bates and Jen Thill (T-10th). UB got another silver from Asia Henry (and another season best) in the 800, and two fifth-place finishes from Meghan Manley, also in the 800, and Crystal Graham in the 400. She might be able to beat you in a race even if you were given a bike. Other track events saw Camaria Long take a second-place finish in the 200 meter dash with yet another program record - 23.74 seconds. Despite the men's second place status and the women's position in ninth, the bulk of available points for the meet were available today, and there were moves to be made.įor the women, senior Donna Jeanty was a triple winner on the day, taking a solo championship in the 400m hurdles, and combining with Malayah White, Camaria Long, and Crystal Graham for the 4x100m crown, and with Asia Henry, Graham, and Long in the 4x400m. Saturday's final day was a chance for sprinters to earn points and other field events to wrap up. The highlights after Friday's second day of competition at the MAC Championships in Athens, Ohio came in UB's strength in the decathlon, heptathlon, and in the other field events. Several Bulls will continue onto regional and national meets, but for all intents and purposes, another class of seniors have finished up their Bulls careers and we plod closer and closer to the summer and countdown to the fall season. And with the final gun of the 4x400 meter relay, two more UB teams moved another step closer to the end of their season.
